I got this saucepan as part of the 3 piece set with lids. They are amazing and the best cookware I've ever owned. I suppose you could spend even more on some other brands, and that's fine if that's what you like. However for this retired pro chef, the cost/performance ratio is the best. After you make your first Bechamal sauce you will know what I mean. The lid also fits the try me saucier and it makes a great double boiler as well.
